To pull off a perfect messy bun, start with a ponytail of your thick hair and flip it over. Secure the end of your ponytail with a second hair tie. Use a third hair tie to hold the messy bun in place. Repeat with the other side of that. You may want to add a little bit of styling cream to the roots before tying that into a bun. It helps to use a styling spray to give your bun extra grip.
