April 25th is annual hairstylist appreciation day; a time when stylists across the nation rise together to show their appreciation for all that they do. Hair cutting was widespread throughout medieval times until the arrival of the printing press. Throughout history, the styles have always been representations of social status, sexual identity, cultural norms, marriage status, and religious beliefs.
