For a slicked-back look with volume, use pomade or gel. Comb your hair from forehead to crown, lifting the roots with your fingertips. Brush or braid it back into a ponytail to add volume. Secure the hair with a bungee or tie it into a ponytail. For a formal look, tuck the tail into a neat bun.
