Webster Wigs

Webster wigs are designed to simulate natural hairlines, making them an excellent option for cosplay. Their lightweight construction allows easy styling using heat tools while blending naturally with their wearer’s scalp.

Types of Webster Wigs

There are four categories of Webster wigs:

Polyurethane (“Poly”) Wigs: Made from polyurethane plastic, these wigs feature an area of polyurethane on top where hair implants are implanted to create the appearance of hair growing directly from the scalp. Skin part wigs are more affordable than others but offer a natural look.

Mesh Wigs (Lace and Monofilament): Mesh wigs are constructed using lace or monofilament bases. Monofilament wigs, in particular, offer a realistic look and feel as each hair is individually attached to a mesh blend base. They can also help with scalp irritation and humidity buildup.

Combo Units: These wigs combine different materials and techniques to provide a versatile option for various needs and preferences.

Human hair Wigs

Human hair wigs are versatile accessories that help fight medical conditions or change one’s look. They offer a realistic appearance but are more costly. Maintenance, including deep conditioning treatments and restyling sessions, is needed to retain the style. Various types of human hair, such as Chinese, Indonesian, Indian, Cambodian, and Malaysian, are used for making wigs.

Synthetic Wigs

Recent advancements in synthetic hair wig technology have made finding styles, cuts, and colors more accessible than ever. Heat-friendly synthetic wigs should be considered before purchasing, as they won’t hold their natural texture like human hair and may have an unnatural shine. However, higher-quality synthetic wigs are ready-to-wear and durable.

Monofilament Wigs

Monofilament wigs offer a realistic look and feel due to their hand-tied process. Each hair is attached to a mesh blend base, creating a natural finish. Monofilament crown wigs can be worn with lace front wigs for realistic hair growth. Monofilament tops also allow more parking options. These wigs can be made from human hair or heat-friendly synthetic, but they cost more.

Lace Wigs

Lace wigs are constructed using French or Swiss lace bases. They look natural, with full lace fronts or stretch weft backs stitched together. These wigs are commonly used for cosplay, Halloween costumes, and theatrical productions.
